Our mission begins in a dark desecrated abbey that hides an ancient and dark power. We will cross a ruined Berlin infested by enemies possessed by a strange force.
We will take a dangerous stroll on the rooftops; Vertigo will be the least of your worries.
We will make a reconnaissance mission for the claustrophobic houses of Berlin. Don’t miss a detail, it could save your life!
We will sabotage a fortified bridge infested with mines and enemies. Strategy is the only way to save you.

We will infiltrate the wolf’s lair where a final duel will take place on whose outcome the fate of the world will depend.

CONCEPT ART

In Mansion Games,  we are craftsmen. Quality and aesthetics have to be present in absolutely all aspects of the product. We can’t create something great if we don’t love it deeply. For this reason, the inhabitants of Mansion take care of even the smallest detail with great delicacy and care.

To do this, we place great importance on good pre-production. The reason?  Game art is based on real IIWW scenarios, vehicles and weapons.

IDEA

The idea of Operation Highjump was born from a documentary that talked about all those people who were fighting for freedom during World War II despite having lost everything. It is a tribute to their courage and a reflection on how far the thirst for revenge can take you. This idea was driven by Alfonso Azpiri, who encouraged the team to fight for Operation Highjump.

INSPIRATION

Operation Highjump is a nod to the 80s, to the golden age of video games. In fact, in its beginnings it was going to be a game made by Amiga and for Amiga. In addition, it has also been inspired by scenarios, vehicles and real weapons of the Second World War.

CHARACTERS

First, you brainstorm what attributes the character should have. Once done, references are sought, the best details of each are selected and a kind of “Frankenstein” is created through a reference sheet.

EVOLUTION

The concept and key animations are created from the reference sheet. Then, the design is passed to the animator and the animator performs its interpretation in pixel art.

STATE ENGINES

Finally, it is implemented in the game using a state machine. The basic idea is that a character is engaged in some particular kind of action at any given time. The actions available will depend on the type of gameplay but typical actions include things like idling, walking, running, jumping, etc.

Surroundings

The first step is to search for references. In addition, a picture of the victory is generated explaining which characters, elements and part of history there will be.

LEVEL DESIGN

Once done, the level and its playability is designed in the form of a sketch and delivered to the artist.

UNITY

The artist generates all the elements separately and sends them to the technical artist. At the same time, the development team integrates the elements and checks for errors.

MUSIC

We look for references inspired by the classics and generate a Frankenstein with each of the fragments that can be interesting. Once done, the artist makes his own interpretation and produces the soundtrack by programming 7 different voice channels. Once finished, it mixes and masteres the sound with high quality tools.

As of today, we are a multidisciplinary team of 8 inhabitants and we are developing our first video game, our debut feature: Operation Highjump.

Having provided high quality music and sound for over 100 projects including projects like the Star Wars Rogue Squadron Series, Turrican, Giana Sisters, Tunnel B1, Extreme Assault, War of the Worlds, etc.
